Annalisa's Highway Blues

To make the big bucks a family emergency demands, Annalisa Rochon enters the male-dominated world of long-haul trucking.

 Danger, hard labor, loneliness, and impossible deadlines ensue—along with something completely unexpected and out of the blue. Mike Cindik, fresh out of the Marine Corps and slotted into his father’s corporate domain, has a contentious meeting with Annalisa on a Chicago loading dock and finds himself bewitched by this exotic, strange-talking, truck-driving Louisiana girl.

The last thing Annalisa needs is a guy like Mike—cute, rich, kind of nice, and completely out of her league—complicating her life. But unlikely misadventures, romantic misses, and near misses follow them from truck stop to truck stop along Midwestern highways.
